HOW CAN I BOOK A PERMANENT JEWELRY APPOINTMENT?

We have a permanent jewelry studio located on the 2nd floor of Studio KP 3011 21st. Street Metairie, LA where we take clients by appointment only. We would love see you!! Our typical availability is Tuesday - Friday from 10:30-2. And one Saturday a month. HOW DO I ATTEND A POP UP?

We’re continually popping up at local businesses in and around Metairie offering 15-minute appointments for you to start or add to your Fire on a Wire Collection. Once appointments go live, they sell out quick - so don’t wait to snag your spot! You are always welcome to attend a pop-up without an appointment but availability may be limited. WHAT IS PERMANENT JEWELRY?

Our Fire On A Wire Permanent Jewelry Experience is an extension of the Crystalyn Aucoin Jewelry Brand. We are now offering an in-person jewelry experience by providing a curated selection of solid sterling silver and 14K gold chains. The permanent jewelry is custom fit to you and welded shut so it stays on forever (or as long as you want it!). The chains can be crafted into beautiful bracelets, necklaces, anklets or rings. They make perfect friendship bracelets, bridesmaid’s gifts, sister-sister or mother-daughter bracelets.

We also encourage you to set an intention with each of your bracelets. You'll wear these everyday so they will be nice reminder of something important to you... a person, a goal, a feeling, a milestone... your choice!

WHAT IF I WANT A BRACELET BUT DON'T WANT IT TO BE PERMANENT?

We totally understand that "permanent" jewelry isn't for everyone so we are happy to custom fit you for a bracelet and we will add a clasp. You can also purchase our chains on our website. When you select your chain and the length we make it for you with a clasp and mail it directly to you in our signature "Let It Shine" Box. HOW DO I GET A PERMANENT CHAIN?

You can book an appointment at our studio, one of our pop-ups OR book a private party! All of our pop ups are announced through our Instagram and can be found on our website here https://crystalynaucoin.com/collections/permanent-jewelry

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

First, we will help you select your chain. Then we will work together to decide what fit best suits you and your lifestyle. Once you have found the perfect fit, the welding begins! You will be provided with protective glasses (selfie worthy) so you can watch the tiny Fire On The Wire bond your chain together. You will leave with a beautiful, dainty, permanent piece of jewelry and the start of your permanent jewelry collection!

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

After you select your chain, you can expect the process to take around 15 minutes.

WHAT IF I NEED TO TAKE OFF MY JEWELRY FOR MEDICAL REASONS?

If you need to remove your collection chain, please cut it at the jump ring (where we welded it on) and save your chain. Reattachment fee is $25 per item and done at our studio.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET A BRACELET?

We prefer to link children 5 and older with a parent/guardian present. Kids grow fast so we like to remind the parent that this bracelet will need to be cut off as they grow. Children under 5 are welcome to get fitted for a custom bracelet but we will add a clasp.

WILL IT STAY ON FOREVER?

While this type of jewelry is called “permanent” it does not mean it is indestructible. These chains are made with tiny links that in time can wear down so it’s important to keep your jewelry clean and maintained. And if you ever wanted to remove it and add a clasp that is an option too.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY PERMANENT JEWELRY?

Caring for your permanent jewelry is important because you will wear it everyday. We suggest using our foaming jewelry cleaner to clean your pieces at least once a month. Dirt and buildup can act as an abrasive and wear your chain out. While this jewelry is called “permanent” it is not indestructible. If you ever feel your chain snagging on clothing or you pull it hard by accident it’s best to have it inspected by a jeweler or book an appointment at our studio for an inspection. WILL IT HURT?

Nope! When we put on your jewelry, we use high heat on the chain only to weld it shut. We add a leather pad between the chain and your wrist. It’s a simple zap of light! We like to call it Fire on a Wire. You shouldn’t feel a thing!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Pricing will vary depending on the metal you chose and the length. The chains will be custom fit for you and are priced per inch. Sterling silver chains start at $8/inch and 14K gold chains start at $30/inch. Average lengths for bracelets are 7”-8”, anklets are 9”-10” and necklaces are 15” and up.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHAIN?

No, because we want to ensure the integrity of the chains and your customized fit, we only weld chains we sell. Reach out to info@crystalynaucoin.com if you have a special request.

WHAT IF I NEED TO TAKE IT ON AND OFF?

We are happy to custom fit you with a small clasp for an extra fee if you prefer to take it on and off.

WHAT ABOUT AIRPORT SECURITY?

TSA won’t ask you to remove fine jewelry when going through security.

DO YOU OFFER GOLD FILLED?

We do not offer gold filled or plated chains at this time. Permanent chains will be on you 24/7 and we want you to have a piece of jewelry that will last years and years to come. This is a special piece! We are constantly sourcing great materials so stay tuned.

HOW DO I HOST A PRIVATE PARTY OR POP-UP?

To book a private party or pop-up, email info@crystalynaucoin.com or send us a message on Instagram. For private parties we require a 8-item/person minimum (excluding rings) and we'll bring everything to you! $25 per person deposit to go towards their jewelry purchase. All we need is a safe well-lit indoor area near an outlet. Commissions and incentives are available for private and public events!!
